How long will it take for my resume and photos to appear on the site?

Resumes and photos submitted via IMDb Resume Services will generally be visible on the site within 24 hours. A few resumes or photos may be flagged for our editors to review manually, and in this case it may take up to 72 hours before those selected resumes will go live on our site.

We may post your resume and photos much more quickly than that, but it may take up to that long during holiday periods or periods of exceptionally high submission volume.

If it has been more than 72 hours since you submitted your photo or resume, please visit our helpdesk. You must be logged in to be able to use the helpdesk system.

Please note that if you do not already have a name page, we first have to create your name page before we can add your resume and photos to the site. The process for creating a name page takes approximately 24 hours, and then your resume and photos can be associated with it. It usually takes another ~24 hours for your page to be indexed by our search.

If your resume photo has been rejected, or the editors had a question and you didn't get the e-mail about it, a copy of the message will be waiting for you at the helpdesk. If not, you can use the forms there to contact the resume department and request a status update.

Common reasons for photos being delayed include:

  • There was a quality problem with your resume or photo, or they contained prohibited content (contact information, nudity, obscenity). We posted a note to your personal message area at our helpdesk and e-mailed you a notification about it. You may visit Resume Services to submit a new photo.

  • We had a question about your resume or photo. We posted a note to your personal message area at our helpdesk and e-mailed you a notification about it. We have been waiting for your reply.
